March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month

Mar 01, 2016

Colon cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancers. It is the third most common cancer in the United States. Although it is so common, colon cancer is also the most treatable. Screening tests can detect polyps and remove them before they become cancerous.

Suburban Imaging is an active partner in the fight against colon cancer. We offer virtual colonoscopy for patients who are unable to undergo a traditional colonoscopy or whose healthcare provider recommends it.

Talk with your healthcare provider about which screening option is best for you. Learn more about screening options at the Colon Cancer Coalition and the Colon Cancer Alliance.
