Dr. Aaron Binstock shares his passion of early lung cancer detection

Jul 12, 2016

Aaron Binstock, MD, shares his knowledge of CT Lung Cancer Screening and passion for early lung cancer detection in Minnesota Physician magazine’s June 2016 issue.

"According to the American Cancer Society, lung cancer, along with colon, breast, and prostate are the four leading causes of cancer death for both men and women in the U.S and worldwide. Of these, lung cancer is the only one not subject to routine screening," Dr. Binstock writes in his article.

He continues, “The ultimate goal of the lung screening program is twofold. The first is to detect cancer at an earlier and more treatable stage resulting in a decrease in the mortality rate. The second is to educate and encourage smoking cessation, which over time will have an even greater impact on reducing lung cancer rates.”
