Interventional Radiology

Hometown:
Menasha, WI, 45 minutes south of Lambeau Field.

Personal interests:
I am a proud Packer fan. I have four wonderful young children (and a dog) who are my main hobby. When not fathering them, I enjoy tennis, reading, and cooking for my overworked wife.

Why did you decide to become a radiologist?
I chose radiology as a vocation because it is a cutting edge field, where our technology helps drive where medicine will end up. It is an intellectually intense field that asks for continuous curiosity and life-long learning, and rewards that by continually changing and offering new advances and new technologies so that it is re-invented every few years.  It is impossible to be bored with Radiology.  I chose Interventional Radiology as my practice focus because it allows me to be involved in the diagnosis of many different entities, as with all radiology, but allows me to intervene in the disease process, and assist patients in bringing them to their optimal health. The marriage of technology and hands-on helping of people makes my practice enormously gratifying and rewarding.
